Where I would take you...

Funny how growing up here, I never realized the impact my city gave the world on November 22, 1963. I grew up just a few short miles from the place where JFK was assassinated, in the very outskirt where his killer was later captured, I drive at the exact place where he was fatally shot at least 4 times a month, however, the impact, of this event hadn't resonated in my life.  I'm sure I was taught this in school but it's after doing my own research and seeing the movies and documentaries and of course, the conspiracy theories, I formed an opinion of my own.
Almost every day there is tourist around down town, taking photos, making their own conspiracies and sparking conversation with the other people on that grassy knoll.
This spring break we took our own children to view the museum and the Dealey Plaza and the grassy knoll. While there, I shot this image and if you pay careful notice to all the people in the image, you can imagine what they are saying. There's the guy taking a picture of the X which marks the place JFK received the fatal shot. There's the other man, with his hand pointing and probably sharing his thoughts. There's the people in the grassy knoll, some just sitting, maybe they are imagining that very day, the people excited to see this beloved President, coming down the street in that car, getting a glimpse of the beautiful First Lady and her pink suit...
It may not be the best thing to be remembered by, but this is where I would take you. That maybe you can be impacted as now I have been by the memory of a President who did what he thought was best for the people. I'm not advocating any political message here.
Just recognizing a man who stood up to a lot of injustices and who paved the way for equality and justice for all...
